SOLD - Tapio Wirkkala/Hackman - SOLD

The classic and ever stylish Tapio Wirkkala designed knife. This came out in the early 1970's. World famous Finnish designer, Tapio Wirkkala, designed the knife and it was made by Hackman in Sorsakoski.
One side of the blade is marked "Hackman Finland Stainless" and under that "Tapio Wirkkala."

"The oeuvre of Tapio Wirkkala, Finland's internationally best-known designer, belongs to the everyday lives of Finns. A good example is Finland's longest-used series of banknotes, which introduced in 1955 and remained in circulation with minor alterations until 1981. Wirkkala was a highly versatile designer and artist.
