SOLD - Kauhava Dress Horsehead Knife - SOLD

This beautiful Pohjanmaa (Northen Finland) style custom made horsehead knife features a 4" hand forged carbon steel blade made by Pauli Kankaanpaa. The blade is hand forged and engraved with designs, the makers name and town. The handle of stacked birch bark is masterfully inlayed with silver wire. The silver bolster is hand engraved in the diamond pattern of the region. The traditional horsehead in silver graces the top of the handle. All the silver on knife and sheath is sterling and marked on the back of the knife and sheath. Comes with a beautiful custom formed leather sheath with engraved silver fittings and silver chain belt loop and hook. A combination of high grade materials and workmanship make this custom puukko superior in quality and beauty. The jewelry of men who wear it on their belt.
