Ever since I first started receiving your catalog back when you were still on Long Island I have wanted that knife (Pokara) but it took me until now to finally order it. Your Small Tommi and the Woverine are outstanding performers as well as lookers. I have a hard time keeping an eye on them as my buddies are always asking to borrow them. I ask if they brought a knife and they say yes but yours cuts better. The same goes for your catalog, As soon as they see it, it's gone.
I got it! Thanks for the quick service and the calendar! The Kullervo is beautiful and the handle feels so nice it makes you want to just hang on to it instead of putting it back in the sheath(grin). I also like the way that mudstone works - sort of like a cross between a soft Japanese water stone and a hard Arkansas. Ok-time to watch the Winter War dvd, Merry Christmas to all at Kellam knives.
The knife I ordered arrived today, 5 days after the order, during which there was 2 public holidays. This is far quicker than the goods I have ordered that are coming within the UK, many thanks for the promptness and the curtious service. Now I must bring to bear my concern of my knife, I thought it was a joke seeing the man shaving with it on your panflett, HA HA, I have never experienced a knife as sharp as the one I received, the only time I've seen anything that sharp was a cut throat razor, so for those of us who are used to the everyday knife maybe a tiny warning to be very careful would help, wow what a knife. I must commend Kellam Knives for your service and quality of the products you sell. I was looking at the online catalog when I realized that I have three fixed blade Kellam knives in my Jeep. Two in the workbench drawer Three folding knives in and on my dresser and two fixed blades in my display cabinet. And two folders in the cabinet. The ones in my Jeep and bench are users and they do take a beating sometimes. My carry folders have the wood handles and have darkened from use. I love them all and they really are sturdy and sharp. Oh, by the way, I see three more I like...

I am using one of the Wolverine's and thus far have enjoyed it against everything I have cut. I do believe this edge is going to outlast most carbon steel blades of similar size and shape.

I have been a knife enthusiast for several years and have bought and used a plethora of modern folders, hunting/survival knives and small pocket knives, but none have captivated me as much as the traditional knives of Finland. Their simplicity, ruggedness and functional beauty is unmatched. These are knives I can truly use with confidence. I have bought a handful of Marttiini, Järvenpää and Roselli models and I love them all. (especially the Roselli Carpenter model!) For their modest prices, they are very high in quality. I have put them all to good use and am very pleased with their performance and comfort. If I were to have only one knife, it would definitely be a Finnish puukko purchased from Kellam Knives.

After splitting the breastbone lengthwise on both deer, plus cutting both of them up, including deboning all of the meat, the Leuku is still sharp enough to shave hair from my arm. That's impressive, and I'm not that easily impressed, having had my share of equipment fail me in the field when I needed it most. So, thanks for carrying this line of moderately priced, no-frills, high performance working knives.

…my first hogs…. A bag full of knives was offered (so I could keep working with a sharp edge). The skinning was completed in short order with only the Tommi Knife. After washing up, the blade would still shave hair off my arm!
I received the puukko a few weeks ago, and have used it camping, fishing & in the kitchen. It is w/out doubt the sharpest knife I own. I'm very pleased w/ the knife & sheath because the package is weightless and also fits on the wider hip strap of my frame pack. Thank you for bringing these knives to America!!
