Big Drum

Handmade in Lapland, each drum is different. Reindeer hide is carefully stretched on a wood frame and each one is lovingly painted with colors from nature (berries, bark from trees, leaves and such.) Then the Saami symbols based on old traditional drums from different areas of Finland are added. Each drum comes with a mallet, information story and translations of the symbols and care advice. Traditionally the drums have been used to predict the future and solve problems.
