Kauhava Dress Knife

This beautiful Pohjanmaa (Northen Finland) style custom handmade knife features a 3.3/4" hand forged carbon steel blade made by Pauli Kankaanpaa. The blade is hand forged and engraved with designs, the makers name and town. The back of the blade also features an engraved design. The handle of stacked birch bark is masterfully inlayed with brass wire in a process of intarsio. The back of the handle has inlayed design also and the maker's name inlayed in brass. The brass bolster is hand engraved. Comes with a beautiful custom formed embossed leather sheath with fittings in brass engraved with the diamond pattern of the region and brass chain belt loop and hook. A combination of high grade materials and workmanship make this custom puukko superior in quality and beauty. The jewelry of men who wear it on their belt.
