Ranger Puukko™ (Leather Sheath)

I bought this knife for backpacking and camping. I checked out many other knives before deciding on this one. I have read reviews for the Ranger, all with praise for this knife but most saying it may be a bit too long for many camping chores. I found this not to be the case and in fact I really like the longer blade. I selected the Tactical sheath model and that seems the right choice for rough terrain. The Ranger may seem like a "plane Jane" at first view but you can feel the quality and workmanship that went into this knife. Perhaps it is better that it isn't too pretty, then I wouldn't want to use it like a number of "Safe Queens" I own. I took this knife into the Wild Nevada Mountains for 3 days and nights and felt like it could handle anything I threw at it! It is a bit pricey, it is worth every penny.
