Collecting and using knives over the last twenty years in the Canadian bush, I've learned to spot crappy knives quickly. The Wolverine is a beautiful and highly functional addition to my collection. I've only had the knife for a couple of weeks now but the first thing I did was to go snow shoeing and find some hard frozen wood to cut into and see how the Wolverine handles. I was not disappointed, the Wolverine devoured all the tasks I threw at it, I was impressed. I haven't done any baton work yet but will sometime over the winter months and will update the review should there be an issue but judging by my experience the Wolverine should handle baton work easily as well. If I had one wish it would be for a Wolverine SPT blade with a riveted oval slab style handle for extra strength. Unfortunately this would break with the traditional Finish style of the knife. Still a 5 star product in my books.
